When you think of sneaker art via Canvas (because sneakers are already art) one name comes to mind: DAVE WHITE. This dudes talent is un-matchable. Nobody comes close to the detail, the form, or the texture that compares to his work. AMAZING. You've most likely seen screensavers, posters, or if you've been blessed, actual paintings of his work.
TAKEOVER'S OWN: LIQUID
Inspired by Dave White's designs-I decided to try my hand at Canvas Sneaker Art. I CUT the bottom SOLE of an ORIGINAL 1993 AIR JORDAN AQUA VIII shoe and gorilla glued it to a canvas. I then, matched some colors, and labeled it "SOLES FOR THE SOUL." Crazy? Partially! It helped that they already cracked-so breathe easy fellow sneaker enthusiasts!!! It's all for the love of the culture....Thank you Dave White.
