They have done it again....FLIGHTCLUB has opened one of its biggest venues yet! I have one phrase to describe it- GODDAMN!! This is HUGE (That's what she said) Over 1,300 sneakers on one wall...stupid amount of fitteds and FCNY apparel, and an insane new look. This should go to show that this culture is no where near dying out and this is in fact just the beginning. The new FCNY is now on Broadway. INSANE>but if you're not into consignment don't forget to check out Takeover on 547 Bloomfield Ave in Montclair, NJ.

Another Day In Our Shoes

Aight, aight, aight....Henney Black hosted an exclusive birthday party for Hot 97's very own DJ BobbyTrends. One word to describe the party- ZOO! Red Cafe, Joel Ortiz, DJ Juanyto, DJ Cipha Sounds, DJ Drewski, Pure, Jadakiss, DJ Naim, and Fred the God Son just name a few.

So just to keep it sweet... While Suraj and I were walking the mean streets of NYC, we happen to bump into a couple of our friends. Here's another look into our daily lives.

When Foamposites Attack

Sounds like a bad horror flick huh? Seems like the foamposite material is making quite some noise in the sneaker world. JB's Air Jordan 1 Armor Cranberry reminds everyone of the upcoming Penny 1/2 cent but it honestly just reminds me of the GARBAGE JB is capable of creating. haha. These arent as bad as I expected them to be. I might wear them......in the rain or snow...or use them for mowing the lawn if I had one. Big ups to Team Jordan for this creation. On a brighter note: There are a bunch of DOPE releases coming out this season. Stay tuned.

3M Addidas JS Wings 2.0

A few weeks back I posted a nice little feature on Jeremy Scott's Addidas JS Wings 2.0. Crazy concept and futuristic pegasus design. Addidas just released nice shots of the 3M version of the shoe...and one word comes to mind! DOPESTNESS....ehhh maybe it's not a word but it's def a fresh look for the 3 striped legend. The 3M material is always a great look on anything.

Personally I don't enjoy them, but I know people that do. If you're a fan of the infamous foamposite material then this is a MUST have for your collection. Silvano “Girls will be Girls”

Miami based Slivano Apparel is set to release their long overdue footwear collection. This sneaker looks BANANAS! Here is one of their styles, named "Girls will be Girls!" This is def an attention-getter. Bold, colorful, and contains great dramatic comic book like effects. The same graphics also carried out onto the shoe box, something which we seen from a few of Silvano’s upcoming releases and something which really extends the theme behind the design.

I personally can't wait to see what Silvano has in store for their futre releases.

2011 Calendar Update

Suraj- The Sneaker Ambassador and I, the Visual Coordinator are constantly on the move. Constantly on the hustle for bigger and better moves for you; the fashion lovers, the lifestyle searchers, and the sole hunters. One idea starts with a vision followed by a phone call, that most likely evolves into a tweet. This is exactly how this idea transcribed. Females in sneakers for 2011- it's only right. We will do it better then anyone else and like I said-it's only right.

45 phone calls, 60 Text messages, 105 tweets, and 12 meetings later...we present the Takeover Calendar of 2011. The Models will be signing the calendar first hand at the store opening, so be sure to get yours first hand. We start shooting next week so be sure to show your support and tell us what you would like to see...this is for you!!! What sneakers? What location? Get involved!

Nike 1/2 Cent "Cranberry"

Nike 1/2 Cent Cranberry edition is almost set to release. One of the most talked about sneakers right now. During the past weekend...we made our way to a sneaker event in NYC. Suraj-The Sneaker Ambassador wore these badboys all across town and he must have been stopped about a dozen times with questions and jaw dropping remarks. Must be nice to wear a sample size, huh Suraj? Regardless, this shoe will def make noise when it releases.

Before XBox, before Playstation, before the DreamCast, there was one game console that shut everything DOWN. The infamous "Super Nintendo." Games were made out of cartridges, that got dusty every now and then and required the player to blow into the chip located in the lower half of the game. One very well known game that was played on this console was.......STREET FIGHTER! Oh man, we used to have tournaments battling over who is the best. A well known character, Chun Li, was always known as the wicked Japanese girl who housed a hell of a kick. Now her name still lives on with a "hell of a kick." Nike SB will be releasing the "Chun Li" Sb's as part of their Nike Dunk SB "Street Fighter" Pack. These will def jog your memory. A MUST HAVE!

Jeremy Scott X Adidas JS Wings 2.0

For those of you who don't know, Jeremy Scott is an American born Fashion designer who designs practically anything. His prints are ridiculous and as you can see his sneaker designs are just as fresh. The wings on the 3-striped legends are his trademark....do you recall the gold J.Scotts he did? Anyway, these wings aren't detachable, but something about them makes me want them. The unique size makes this sneaker a one of a kind. Adidas is stepping up to the plate this season, I want to see all of these sneaker companies compete for the thrown this year in a kicks battle royal. The freshest, the illest, the dopest. With Jeremy Scott on their side, they might actually have a chance.

This year just keeps looking better and better! Employee perks....dream or reality! These were made for the employees of Nike AGS (Austria, Germany, Switzerland) for winning an internal competition in Dubai. The Nike Dunk High "Dubai" get two thumbs up from TeamTakeover. The gold foil swoosh compliments the blue lacing very well. The "We Are Nike" lasered applique gives these fresh kicks a completely different meaning.
